ME Auctions has been a long-time supporter of Variety – the Children’s Charity in Victoria. What began back sometime in the 2000s with an old car bought at auction, a big idea, and Martin alongside a few mates, has grown into something much bigger. It has become a family tradition built on giving back. While Martin is not taking part in the Big Bash this year, the tradition continues. In 2025, he proudly passed the baton to his daughter Kaitlin and her two children, Mabel and Toby. Together, they completed the Brats Bash, travelling from Renmark to Alice Springs and raising more than $10,000 for Variety.
Now, the next chapter begins. In 2026, the grandchildren will again take on the Brats Bash, supported by their mum and dad. This year’s journey will see them leave Daylesford on 8 April and head all the way to Kangaroo Island, continuing a family commitment that now proudly spans generations.
